Create a SendGrid API Key

Overview

The purpose of creating an API in SendGrid is to be able to send emails from applications. This is useful for alerting and password resets if needed.

How to Create An API Key

  1. On the Left-hand side under Settings, Select API Keys.

  2. On the Right-hand side, Select Create API Key.

  3. Fill Out the Name for the API Key and Select Restricted Access.

  4. Under Mail Send, Turn on Mail Send, and select Create & View.

  5. Copy the API Key and select Done.
